New Appointments

the Cardiff-based Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors, has announced two key appointments to its senior management team in line with continued expansion at its Cardiff Gate headquarters.
Nick Toye and Colin Russell have both been appointed Directors of the firm.
Mr Toye, a Chartered Accountant, joins BPU with responsibility for transaction services, as well as looking after a portfolio of clients. Current Chairman of the Cardiff and District Society of Chartered Accountants, Nick has a background in accountancy and in the industrial sector.
Having trained with a big four firm in Cardiff, Nick joins BPU following a five year career with Associated British Ports. For the last two years he was a director with PKF at their Cardiff office.
BPU has a strong presence in the owner managed SME sector of the market. In his new role, Nick – a qualified engineer - will be responsible for a portfolio of clients as well as growing the firm’s client base in this area. Nick will also develop the firm’s corporate transactions services within the Welsh SME market.
Colin Russell, a Senior Manager at BPU since 1994 and with 25 years experience in accountancy, has been promoted to the position of Auditing and Technical Director. A Chartered Certified Accountant, Colin will also have responsibility for further developing the firm’s specialist auditing services for charities and pension funds in addition to day to day responsibility for the firms technical standards..
