Louise holds a B.A. (Hons) in PR and media studies from the University of Exeter and has extensive experience working in this field at management level. Louise has worked in marketing and PR for over 10 years in both a consultancy and in-house environment for a number of private and public sector clients. Louise is currently responsible for all marketing activity at BPU which includes the development of the firms marketing strategy in-line with the firm’s business plan and objectives. Louise works closely with the Directors at every step of the client lifecycle – from tracking trends and identifying opportunities, creating marketing campaigns and measuring client satisfaction through to sales and proposals, events, networking and news releases. Louise is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and is Vice Chair of the Ladies Business Alliance based in Rhondda Cynon Taff.
Martin joined the firm in 2007, after completing his Association of Tax Technicians (ATT) qualification at Grant Thornton and qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor whilst working at BPU. His role involves dealing with the more complicated tax compliance matters and tax planning issues for clients, both corporate and personal. Martin focuses on helping owner managed businesses and SME’s in a number of areas including mergers, acquisitions, extraction of funds, remuneration strategies, EIS schemes, succession planning, raising finance, property transactions and employee reward and retention.
After graduating from Cardiff University with a First Class Honours Degree in Accounting and Finance (BSc), Rhys joined BPU in 2009 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2012. Rhys is regularly involved in assisting clients with the preparation of their business plans and is an expert in the use of both Sage Forecasting and Excel for the preparation of financial forecasts. Rhys regularly supports the firm’s Directors in transactional work, where his strong audit background enables him to quickly appreciate the risks involved.
Simone joined the firm as a student 2000 and qualified as a chartered accountant in 2005.
She was promoted to Assistant Manager in May 2006 and has responsibility for audit and accounts matters for a wide range of SME clients.
Simone has extensive knowledge of Sage software and has assisted clients with installation and report design, as well as providing them with tailored training sessions to meet their individual needs.
Wayne Evans manages the Llantwit Major office for the firm and is a highly experienced accountant with 25 years' experience. Wayne started his accountancy career working in the manufacturing industry and has worked in consultancy advising clients on a general practice matters for the last 15 years. He specialises in providing value added tax advice to clients as well as general business advice. He works for clients across a number of sectors including charity, social enterprise, construction, manufacturing, media, healthcare, retail and hospitality.
